Thompson, 88, retired school teacher of Washington, died yesterday in a Norfolk rest home after an illness of three weeks. She had resided in Norfolk for five years. A native of Waupaca, Wis., she was a daughter of the late Elias B. Thompson, of Chautauqua County, N.Y. and Mrs. Claressa Lanb Thompson of Peoria County, Ill. She is survived by three nieces, Mrs. Harry M. Walters, Mrs. Herman Cox and Miss Georgie Thompson, all of Norfolk. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Society of Lovers of Lincoln, and Daughters of Veterans of the Civil War. The body was removed to the Sykes Funeral Home, Berkley, where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
