Thompson, one of Berkley's earliest and best known jewelers, died yesterday at 3 a.m. in a Norfolk hospital after a long illness. Born in Pasquotank County, N.C., she had resided in this section 80 years. She was a daughter of the late James Henry and Mrs. Mary M. Winslow Perry. She was a charter member of the Glad Tidings Church, Norfolk. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. R.W. Jones, Mrs. H.E. Cox, and Mrs. H.M. Walters, all of Norfolk; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. The body was removed to the Sykes Funeral Home, Berkley, where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Magnolia.
