Norfolk - Funeral services for Eddie Thompson Jr., 52, of 1211 W. 27th street 
were held Sunday in Goodwill Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Vannie Parker.  
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Morning Glory Funeral Home in charge.  He 
died June 7 in a local hospital.

The Quincy, FL, native was the husband of Mrs. Pheobe Thompson and the late 
Eddie Thompson Sr.  Mr. Thompson was employed by the City of Norfolk for six 
years and was a member of St. Hebron A.M.E. Church, Quincy.

Other survivors are three sons, Eddie Thompson 3rd, Raymond Thompson, Tyrone 
Harris of Norfolk;  five daughters, Mrs. Naomi Griffin, Mrs. W. Legendre, Mrs. 
Louise Potts and Mrs. Mattie Hamlin of Norfolk and Miss Pearl Thompson 
Tallahassee, FL;  two brothers, John Thompson and Raynell Thompson of Norfolk;  
four sisters, Mrs. Isabella Pittman and Mrs Addie Sills, of Norfolk, Mrs. Mattie 
Hinton and Mrs. Maggie Hollins of Washington and 15 grandchildren.
