Norfolk - John Thompson Sr. of 1300 W. 39th st., the husband of Mrs. Nettie 
Thompson and a native of Lorid, FL, died Saturday, Jan. 10 in a hospital.

He was a son of Mrs. Daisy Thompson.

He was retired from Norfolk General Hospital after 10 years.

Other survivors inclue a daughter, Mrs. Annie T. Wilson of Portsmouth;  a son, 
John Thompson Jr. of Berkeley CA;  three sisters, Mrs. Ada Sears and Mis 
Isabelle Thompson of Norfolk, and Mrs. Maggie Sears of Washington;  a brother, 
Raynell Thompson of Norfolk;  and five grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Thursday, Jan. 15  in Goodwill Baptist church by the 
Rev. O. J. Lloyd.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
