Norfolk Virginian Tuesday June 23, 1891  

The funeral of the late Mrs. Clara Thompson took place Sunday afternoon from 
the residence of her son, on Berkley Avenue, and was largely attended.  The 
following gentleman acted as pallbearers:  Colonel J.A. Battee(?), Captain 
M.C. Keeling, Captain H.B. Nichols, Lieutenant T.A. Bates, John F. Small, 
Wilson Beal.  The remains were interred in Magnolia Cemetery.
