Thompson died at his home, 265 Chapel Street, last night, at an advanced age. He had been a resident of Norfolk sixty-eight years and was highly respected by all who knew him. The deceased was for many years a member of the police of Norfolk and was considered an efficient officer. He had been an invalid for the last eight or ten years. He was the oldest member of Friendship Conclave No. 2, Heptasophs, or S.W.M., having been connected with it for thirty-two years. He was also a member of the B.P.O. Elks. He is survived by a widow and two children, Mrs. M.W. Jenkins and Mr.Walter F. Thompson. The funeral will be held from the family residence, 265 Chapel Street, at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon and will be attended by the Heptasophs and Elks. *************** THOMPSON - Suddenly, at the residence, No. 265 Chapel Street, on Saturday, October 18, 1902, at 7:15 o'clock p.m., HENRY F. THOMPSON, aged 77 years. Funeral services from the above residence TOMORROW (Monday) AFTERNOON, at 4 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
