NEW YORK - Harry Thompson Sr. of 4 W. 129th St. in a hospital after a short
illness.

A native of Norfolk, he was the husband of Mrs. Magnolia Thompson and a son of the
late Richard and Mrs. Elizabeth Thompson.

He was an elevator operator for Beekman's Hotel.

Besides his widow, surviving are two sons, Harry Thompson Jr. and James R. Thompson
of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Mrs. Lajonia Twine of Virginia Beach and Mrs.
Virginia Jones of New York; a brother, William Thompson of Norfolk; and four
grandchildren.

The body was sent to Graves Funeral Home, Norfolk, where a funeral service will be
held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The family will be at 714 19th St., Virginia Beach.
