Jeffrey D. Thompson, 20, of the 800 block of Rockingham St., a student, died 
Jan. 28, 1993, in a local hospital. 

Mr. Thompson was born in Norfolk and was a Baptist. He was a student at Norfolk 
State University and was an active Navy Reservist. 

Survivors include his mother and father, Virginia R. Thompson and Mervin D. 
Thompson of Norfolk; two sisters, Vicky McGhee of Virginia Beach and Brigitte 
McGhee of Norfolk; and three brothers, Mervin D. Thompson Jr., Marvin C. 
Thompson and Eric W. Thompson, all of Chesapeake. 

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Queen Street Baptist Church 
by the Rev. Peter M. Wherry. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . A wake will be 
held from 7 to 8 p.m Sunday in Hale Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the 
church at 11 a.m. Monday.
