Mrs. Thompson, a native of Pittsylvania County, was formerly employed by State Planners Bank in Richmond. She was a member of Brent Lox Baptist Church, Chesapeake. Survivors include her husband, Claude S. Thompson Sr.; a daughter, Carol Thompson of Norfolk; a stepdaughter, Ann Cook of Farmville; and two stepsons, Claude S. Thompson Jr. of Miami and Eugene Thompson of Blackstone, Va. The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Magnolia Cemetery by the Rev. Jasper Morris. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements.
