The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Thursday Feb. 3, 1944
John Walter Thompson, 77, son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Armistead
Thompson, died at a local hospital yesterday morning at 7 o'clock. He is
survived by a brother, B. F. Thompson, of Blakes, and a number of nieces and
nephews. Mr. Thompson was a native of Mathews County and had been a resident of
Norfolk for 62 years.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow
afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
