Teddy Thorns, 63, of the 2300 block of Leeward Shore, died Sept. 18, 1997, in a 
Virginia Beach Hospital.

Mr. Thorns was a native of Chessonesex, Va. He was the widower of Barbara P. 
Thorns and the son of the late Harry D. Thorns and Marjorie Evans Thorns.

Survivors include his daughters, Clair T. Newbold of Norfolk and Marie T. Kujawski 
of Manchester, Conn.; a son, Matthew Thompson of Norfolk; his sister, Helen T. 
Musselman and brother, Bud Hooper, both of Virginia Beach; and six loving 
grandchildren, Donnie, Christin and Nick Newbold, Matthew Thompson Jr., Becky and 
Joey Kujawski.

Ted was a man of his word and was a loving husband, father, brother, friend and 
benefactor to all people young and old. He will be missed by everyone who knew and 
loved him.

A Chapel service will be conducted at H.D.Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, Monday at 
2 p.m. by the Rev. Franklin D. Howlett. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic 
Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. and at 
other times at 1340 Magnolia Ave., Norfolk. Memorial contributions may be made to 
your local SPCA or the Judeo-Christian Outreach Center, P.O. Box 831, Virginia 
Beach, Va. 23451.
