Mrs. Julia Thorogood, wife of the late Charlie Thorogood, died Oct. 13 at a
local hospital at the age of 64. She lived at 1006 Green St., South Norfolk.

She was the daughter of late Frank Cornick and Mrs. Christine Owens. Mrs.
Thorogood is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Caroline Johnson, Mrs. Virginia
Fleming; two sons, Rufus and William Thorogood; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at St. Mark Christian Church October 15. Services
were conducted by the Rev. David P. Butts. Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery with
Fitchetts Funeral Home in charge.
