Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Lucy Thrower, 130 Thrower street (Gilmerton), 
who died November 24 in a Portsmouth hospital at the age of 78 were held 
Sunday, December 1, at 1:30 p.m.  from the Bethel Baptist Church.  Rev. Mr. 
Arrington conducted the final rites.

She was born in Brunswick County, VA, and was the daughter of the late Gilliam 
and Mrs. Minerva Fisher.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with the Hale Funeral 
Home in charge.
