Miss Laura Virginia (Jennie) Thumm, 81, daughter of the late Jacob and Mrs. 
Louisa Proescher Thumm, died at the residence, 214 West 15th St. yesterday at 8 
p.m.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Gertie Burgess and Mrs. Louisa R. 
Armstrong, both of Norfolk; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and 
nephews.
Miss Thumm was a lifelong resident of Norfolk; a member of Chapter No. 3, 
Pythian Sisters and Virginia Rebekah Lodge No. 13, IOOF.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
at 2 p.m.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
