NORFOLK — Mrs. Catherine Cox Tice, 64, of 4214 Colonial Ave., died Thursday in a 
hospital.

She was the wife of Edward K. Tice and a daughter of James J. and Mrs. Mary Ellen 
Walsh Cox.

A Norfolk native, she was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a former 
employee of the Hampton Roads Sanitation District.

Surviving, besides her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Anne Craig; a son 
John LeRoy Tice; and two brothers, James W. Cox and George W. Cox of Norfolk; two 
sisters, Miss Margaret L. Cox of Norfolk and Mrs. Mary Ellen Knox of Seattle, 
Wash.; and a granddaughter.

The body will be taken from H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, to Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church on Newport Avenue for a funeral service Saturday at 10 
a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The Rosary will be recited tonight at 8 in the funeral apartments.
