Norfolk - A funeral serice will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in Queen Street Baptist 
Church for Fred Westley John Theodore Tidwell, 63, of 423 Walke street.  The 
Rev. J. J. Freeman will officiate.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with 
Moseley Funeral Home in charge.  Mr. Tidwell died July 24 in a nursing home.

The South Carolina native was the son of Fred Tidwell and Mrs. Elizabeth 
Tidwell.  He was a member of Queen Street Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Tidwell, four daughters, Mrs. Mary Morgan and 
Mrs. Theodosia Bryant of Norfolk, Mrs. Elizabeth Reid of New York and Mrs. 
Virginia Leonard of Baltimore;  a son, James Moore of Norfolk;  and 24 
grandchildren.
