The deceased was 76 years old and was born in Rhode Island. He moved to Princess Anne county, this state, where he resided for a short time, afterwards moving to Berkley, where he, with his family, have resided for the past thirty-four years. He leaves a widow and four children to mourn their loss--Misses Kate and Minnie Tilley and Messrs. Lewis and William B. Tilley. Mr. Tilley was for some time engaged in the lumber business, being a member of the firm of Tilley Bros. & Deaton. He was a member of Memorial M.E. Church, and had a large circle of friends here, who will be pained to learn of his death. The funeral will take place on Monday morning at 11 o'clock from the residence, and the obsequies will be conducted by the Rev. W.H. Edwards, pastor of Memorial M.E. Church, assisted by the Rev. L.R. Watson, pastor of Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church. *********************************************************************** The funeral of the late Benjamin Tilley, who died at his home in Maple avenue Saturday morning, was conducted from his late residence yesterday morning at 11 o'clock and was largely attended. Rev. W.H. Edwards, pastor of Memorial M.E. Church, assisted by Rev. L.R. Watson, of Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church, officiated. The interment was in Magnolia Cemetery and the following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: Messrs. L. Berkley, G.A. Thompson, F.C.Hough. W.H. Butt, Wilson Beale and Charles Gibbs.
