Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark March 14, 1923

Mrs. Anna E. Tilley, 85 years old, died yesterday at noon at a Norfolk 
hospital, after a lingering illness.  She was born in Canada and had resided 
here for the last thirty-five years.  She was the widow of William P. 
Tilley.  Mrs. Tilley is survived by the following relatives: J.P. Neer, of 
Baltimore; Misses Minnie and Kate Tilley, Mrs. J.W. Jones, George T. Tilley 
and Mrs. R.E. Tebault, of Norfolk; William M. Tilley, of Roanoke and Miss 
Lydia L. Tilley, of New York.  The body was removed to J.R. Williams Funeral 
Apartments, 208 Chestnut Street, where it will remain until Thursday 
morning.
Funeral services will take place Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at St. 
Matthew's Catholic Chapel, the Rev. P.P. Brennan officiating.  Burial will 
be in Magnolia Cemetery.
