Funeral services for George Timberlake, 55, a postal worker who died in a local 
hospital after  a long illness, were held at Queen Street Baptist Church on 
Thursday.  Mr. Timberlake died Feb. 27.  He resided at 829 Avenue A.

Surviving the deceased are his wife, Mrs. Octavia Timberlake;  a son, Clinton 
Timberlake,  two foster daughters, Marguerite and Antoinette Lymus;  his father, 
Dory Timberlake of Norfolk;  three sisters, Mrs. Thelma Harvey, and Mrs. Mildred 
Sharp, Brooklyn, and Mrs. Ezabelle Haskins, Norfolk;  five brothers, Dory 
Timberlake, Brooklyn, Raymond Timberlake, Jamaica, LI, Woodley Timberlake, East 
Orange, NJ and Herman and Alvin Timberlake of Norfolk.

The Rev. J. Jasper Freeman, pastor of Queen Street Baptist Church, conducted the 
services with Graves Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Interment was in 
Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Timberlake was a life-time resident of Norfolk.
