Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark December 31, 1924

Mrs. Minnie Frances Tise, aged 42 years, wife of George A. Tise, died Monday 
morning at 9:30 o'clock at the family residence, 1748 McKann Avenue, Ballentine 
Place. She was a native of North Carolina and had been a resident of Norfolk eight 
years. She is survived by her husband; four sons, Howard, Douglas, Brady and 
Thomas Tise, a daughter, Miss Ruby Tise; a brother, James Mahean and a sister, 
Mrs. Kate Tousey. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 2:30 
o'clock at L.L. Williams Funeral Apartments, 3401 Granby Street. The Rev. J.T. 
Riddick, of James Memorial Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
