Norfolk - Herbert Hilton Todd of 901 Grayson street, the husband of Mrs. Alice 
J. Todd, died Monday in a hospital.

A native of Norfolk county, he was a son of the late Hilton and Mrs. Hattie M. 
Todd.

He was a boat building mechanic at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, where he worked 31 
years, a past master of St. Paul Masonic Lodge 71, a steward, class leader, and 
member of the Gospel Choir and Willing Workers Club of St. James AME Church.

Besides his widow, surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lorraine T. Upton of 
Portsmouth and Mrs. Hilda T. Glast of New York;  a sister, Mrs. Larue T. Davis 
of Chesapeake;  and four grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in St. James AME Church by 
the Rev. F. J. West.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Fitchett Funeral 
Home in charge of arrangements.
