Norfolk Virginian Pilot Wednesday June 9, 1946
Mrs. Josephine Wiedeman Todd, aged 75, widow of George Merritt Todd, and 
daughter of the late Frederick and Mrs. Emily Schaffer Wiedeman, died at a 
local hospital yesterday morning at 4 o'clock. Mrs. Todd was a native of New 
York City and a resident of this section for the past 51 years. She is 
survived by one son, Edward Todd Taylor, of Norfolk; three nieces, Misses 
Virginia and Helen Bickler and Mrs. William H. Pearson, all of Bloomfield, 
N.J. and one nephew, William F. Caldwell, of Montclair, N.J.
Funeral services will be held at the residence, 1106 West Princess Anne 
Road, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with the Rev. Taylor Willis, D.D., 
rector of Christ and St. Luke's Church, of which Mrs. Todd was a member, and 
the Rev. E. Ruffin Jones, D.D., rector of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 
officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Josephine Wiedeman Todd - Funeral services for Mrs. Todd, widow of 
George Merritt Todd, who died Sunday, were conducted at the residence, 1106 
West Princess Anne Road, yesterday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. Taylor Willis, 
D.D., rector of Christ and St. Luke's Church, and the Rev. E. Ruffin Jones, 
D.D., rector of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Interment was in Cedar Grove 
Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dr. N.G. Wilson, E.J. Rudgard Wigg, Maurice B. 
Langhorne, Dr. George T. Myers, J.T. Pierce, James E. Etheridge, Chester 
Prince and D. Baker Ames.
