Tolar, one of the best known and popular ship brokers in Norfolk, died at a local hospital last night at 9:45 o'clock, following an illness of two weeks. He was 44 years old. Captain Tolar is survived by is wife, Mrs. Ella Mae Tolar, two daughters, Misses Alathia Mae and Elizabeth B. Tolar, and two brothers, Captain W.M. Tolar and Herman H. Tolar, both of Norfolk. He was a member of Ruth Masonic lodge, Norfolk, Royal Arch chapter, Grice Commandery and Khedive Temple of the Mystic Shrine. The body has been carried to the residence 4005 Colonial avenue.
