Topping, after many weary months of suffering, which she bore with great fortitude, passed to her reward at her home on Berkley Avenue. The disease with which she suffered was of a dropsical character and its arrest proved beyond the reach of medical science. She leaves several children, two of whom are grown. Her funeral took place at the Chestnut Street M.E. Church yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock and the services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. B.F. Lipscomb. ***************************************************************************** In Memoriam The anniversary of the death of Mrs. Sarah E. Topping, the late beloved wife of Mr. C.W. Topping, of Berkley, was beautifully observed at the grave in that village yesterday in which her children and a large number of friends participated. The floral offerings, mainly contributed by her son, Mr. C.W. Topping, of Berkley, and her daughter, Mrs. Jennie Fatherly, of Broad Creek, were exceedingly appropriate and the occasion, while a sad one, afforded those near and dear unto her great comfort. The exercises consisted of singing and prayer, led by Mrs. R. Weaver, of the above village.
