Norfolk Virginian Pilot March 22, 1946

Mrs. Anna Rosa Pennello Toscano, 92, widow of Joseph Toscano and daughter of the 
late Frank and Mrs. Theresa Russo Pennello, a native of Italy and a resident of 
Norfolk for the past 31 years, died at the residence, 227 West Seventeenth 
Street, last night at 9:15 o'clock. Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Marie 
Rose Dallou, of France and Mrs. Antoinette Jampicol, of Norfolk; two sons, 
Julian Toscano, of France and Nicholas Toscano, of Norfolk; five grandchildren 
and six great-grandchildren. 
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church, of which Mrs. Toscano was a member, for services Saturday 
morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services 
will be held at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, tonight at 8:30 o'clock.

Mrs. Anna Rosa Pennello Toscano — Funeral services for Mrs. Toscano, widow of 
Joseph Toscano, who died Thursday night at the residence, 227 West Seventeenth 
Street, were held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, yesterday at 10 a. m. with 
the Rev. Edward W. Johnston, pastor, officiating. Burial was in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery. 
The pallbearers were Rocco Pennello, Julio Pennello, Angelo Pennello, Eugene 
Pennello, A. Pennello, and Anthony Pennello.
