Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark May 14, 1915

 John Towell died Wednesday night at the residence, 1116 Virginia Street, aged 
58 years. He was a native of Ireland and had lived in Norfolk 25 years, having 
been well known and highly regarded. He is survived by his wife, five daughters, 
Mrs. O.H. Talley of El Paso, Texas; Mrs. M.C. Glynn of Portsmouth and Misses 
Margaret, Genevieve and Ursula Towell of Norfolk; two sons, John P. and James C. 
Towell of Norfolk. The funeral will take place at 3 o'clock this afternoon from 
St. Mary's Catholic Church and Rev. P.P. Brennan will conduct the services. 
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

TOWELL - At the residence, No. 1116 Virginia street, Thursday, May 13, 1915, at 
1:45 o’clock a. m., JOHN TOWELL, in the 59th year of his age.
Funeral services at St. Mary’s Catholic church FRIDAY AFTERNOON at 3 o’clock. 
Friends of the family are invited to attend.
