Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, June 7, 1991 
Susan Kilby Towner , 69, died June 5, 1991, in a nursing home.

Mrs. Towner , a Norfolk native, was formerly employed as a clerk with Norfolk 
and Western Railway. She was a member of Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church, 
Daughters of the American Revolution and Business and Professional Women's 
Club. She was the widow of William C. Towner .

Survivors include a daughter, Annette Phillips of Virginia Beach; a son, 
Everett T. Gay of Madison Heights, Va.; three grandchildren; and a great-
grandchild.

The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Elmwood Cemetery 
by the Rev. O. Morton Harris Jr. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. 
today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel.
