The Virginian Pilot Thursday January 27, 1977
NORFOLK - Mrs. Bethenia Hitty Townes of 319 Middlesex St., Berkley, the widow 
of Henry Townes and a native of Norfolk, died Monday in a hospital.
She was a member of St. Thomas AMEZ Church, Campostella.
Survivors include two nephews, Linwood Lamb and Leroy Lamb of Norfolk. 
A funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in St. Thomas AMEZ Church by the 
Rev. G.L. Scott.  Burial will be in the Family Plot of Mount Olive Cemetery 
with Pretlow's Funeral Home in charge.
