Norfolk Journal and Guide,Apr 19,1930

Nichols Townes died Friday afternoon after an illness of several months at his 
home on Mahone Ave ext.  Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, one 
son, and two sisters.  Funeral services were held Wednesday at St. James Church.  
Interment was in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
