The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark February 13, 1935 
Mrs. Ida Madeline Toxey, aged 50, wife of Willie W. Toxey, died at the 
residence, 3900 Peterson Street, Overbrook, yesterday afternoon at 4:30 
o’clock after an extended illness. Besides her husband, she is survived by two 
daughters, Mrs. J. W. Fentress and Mrs. Stuart R. Hoffman; a brother, Frank 
Kidd, and four grandchildren, all of Norfolk. 
Mrs. Toxey was a native of Richmond and had resided in Norfolk for the past 40 
years. The body was taken to the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home pending funeral 
arrangements.
