Norfolk Journal and Guide, Apr 17,1943
Funeral services for Charlie Tredwell, 49, 725 Lincoln street, who died in a 
local hospital April 8, were held at Hale’s Parlor April 12.  The Rev. R. D. K. 
Garrett officiated.  Born in Creswell, NC, Mr. Tredwell had lived here 20 years.  
Surviving is his widow, Mrs. Mattie Tredwell.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
