The Virginian-Pilot, Thursday, April 28, 1960

NORFOLK - Mrs. Mary Tredwell, 61, of 1616 Brown Ave. died Wednesday at 3 a.m. in 
a Norfolk hospital after short illness.

She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Melvin and widow of John M. Treadwell. A 
native of Miami, Flas., she had lived in Norfolk 30 years.

She was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church.

Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Edna Johnson of Norfolk, seven grandchildren and 
four great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to Citizens Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be 
conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. J.A. Askew, pastor of Garrett's 
Community Church. Burila will be in the family plot in Calvary Cemetery.
