H. H. Trice & Co., real estate dealers, died Wednesday in a hospital. He long had been prominent in the city's business and civic life and was real estate commissioner for Norfolk 24 years. At one time, he concurrently was president of the Norfolk Real Estate Board and the Virginia Real Estate Association. A native of Norfolk, he was a son of the late W. H. H. Trice, a founder of the firm, and Mrs. Mary Cuthrell Trice, and the husband of Mrs. Mary Brounley Trice. After attending Norfolk Academy, he went on to graduate in 1902 from Virginia Military Institute. He was a member of Atlantic Masonic Lodge and Norfolk Chamber of Commerce. Besides his widow, surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Bush of Norfolk and Mrs. William Boswell of Arlington;, a son,C. V. W. Trice Jr., of Miami; a sister, Mrs. Louise Trice Luke of St. Augustine, Fla.; and a brother, J. Stanley Trice of Norfolk. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a m. in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family will be at 1207 Pembroke Towers.
