He was born in Norfolk. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Bute Street, the Sons of Norfolk, and Elks Lodge. Survivors include a son, Melvin Ferebee Sr., granddaughter, Miss Jacqueline Ferebee, and a grandson, Melvin Ferebee, all of Norfolk. A funeral will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in First Baptist Church, Bute Street, by the Rev. LaVert H. Taylor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick Funeral Service in charge. The body will be in church at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
