Mr. Trotman, a native of Norfolk, well known in this city, was affiliated with several civic and social organizations. His funeral will be held Sunday at St. Paul C.M.E. Church with the pastor, the Rev. John C. McClennon, officiating. Only recently, Mr. Trotman returned from a brief visit to New York City, where he visited his daughter, Mrs. Annie Mae Johnson, who accompanied him on his return home and remained with him until his death. He was admitted into the hospital Saturday, July 26, but had been suffering a lingering illness for quite some time. In addition to his church, he was a member of the Masons, Eureka Lodge, Sons of Norfolk, Norfolk Social and Beneficial Association, and the Lancasters. In addition to his daughter he is survived by a son, James A. Trotman, of Norfolk, and a sister, Mrs. Mae Lue White, New York City. Morning Glory Funeral Home was is in charge of burial arrangements.
