Bowden Injured Near Old Point While climbing the rigging, Fred Truman, 21 years old, a seaman aboard the Annie C. Bowden, a schooner, lost his balance yesterday afternoon when the vessel was near Old Point Comfort and fell to the deck, where he received internal injuries. Capt. Luther H. Chase of the schooner secured a launch and brought the injured man to Norfolk, where he was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital in the patrol wagon. It is believed that Truman's injuries are serious and probably fatal. ************************************************************************ FRED TRUMAN DIED OF INJURIES SUSTAINED Fred Truman, the young seaman who fell from the rigging of the schooner Annie C. Bowen, died at St. Vincent's Hospital early yesterday morning as the result of internal injuries. The body was turned over to Undertaker O.L. Gregory for preparation for burial. The dead man's relatives have been notified.
