She was the daughter of the late Julius and Josephine Szymanski and the widow of Simon Trush. She was the former owner of Liberty Meat Market in Berkley. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Chesapeake. She is survived by her sister, Mary Sumner; her friend and caregiver, Peggy Perdue; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sophie Trush; her sisters, Amelia, Florence, Sophia and Lucy; and her brothers, Joseph, Bernard, Julius and Felix. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 536 Homestead Road, Chesapeake, with Father Michael Boehling officiating. The burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 536 Homestead Road, Chesapeake, VA 23321.
