Mr. Tucker, who was a native and lifelong resident of this city, was 59 years of age and the son of the late Samuel L. and Mrs. Mary Mallory Tucker. He attended the former Norfolk Mission College and graduated with honors in the class of 1908. After the death of his father, the deceased and his brother took over the work in the restaurant at Talbot and Plume streets. Later Mr. Tucker went to St. Joseph’s Church to take over the printing and the church work under Father Vincent D. Warren. Surviving are one sister, Miss Verna L. Tucker of Calvert street; a niece, Mrs. Vivian Fontinello of Fremont street, two aunts, Mrs. Josephine Tucker Moseley, and Mrs. Frank Tucker, and other relatives. Pallbearers were Garfield Carter, Ernest Moseley, C. Johnson, Mr. Holt, Mr. Henderson, and David G. Thomas. Interment was in the family plot in West Point Cemetery.
