The Virginian-Pilot, Friday, December 22, 1961

NORFOLK - John C. Tucker, 23, of 436 Graydon Ave. died Thursday at 2:20 p.m. in 
a Norfolk hospital after a short illness.

A native of Greenville, N.C., he was a son of Mrs. Helen Tucker and the late Tom 
Tucker. He lived in Norfolk 18 years and was employed by Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. 
six years. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Besides his mother, he is survived by six sisters, Mrs. Helen Phillips, Mrs. 
Janice Ridley, Mrs. Viola Wesby, Miss Linda Tucker, Miss Elaine Tucker and Miss 
Maggie Tucker of Norfolk; and five brothers, Willie Tucker, Anthony Tucker and 
Walker Tucker of Norfolk, Harvey Tucker of Capron, and David Tucker, U.S.N.

The body was taken to Morning Glory Funeral Home.
