The church was filled to overflowing, with relatives, friends and schoolmates who had come to pay their last tribute to this promising and prominent young girl. The services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. B. B. Evans, assisted by Rev. R. H. Bowling and Rev. D. J. Lee. The casket was covered and surrounded with beautiful floral offerings. At the conclusion of the services the remains were viewed by the friends present. Interment took place in Calvary Cemetery. The pallbearers were among the young friends of the deceased. Miss Tucker was a junior in the B. T. Washington High School and her death cast a pall of sadness over the classmates. She is survived by her parents, one sister, Miss Vivian Tucker, grandfather, Mr. Samuel L. Tucker, grandmother, Mrs. Sarah Bright, and a number of other relatives.
