Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, May 7, 1991 
Katie Whitehead Tunstall, 86, of the 3900 block of Llewellyn Ave., a retired 
schoolteacher, died May 5, 1991, in a hospital.

Mrs. Tunstall, a native of Norfolk, had retired from the Norfolk public school 
system after 35 years. She was the widow of Robert C. Tunstall and was a 
lifetime member of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church. She was a member of 
the Retired Teachers Association and was a graduate of Mary Washington College.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Michael A. Niegro of Virginia Beach; and 
three grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Christ and St. Luke's 
Episcopal Church by the Rev. Irwin Lewis. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery . 
Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
