Chesapeake - Willie H. Turner of 606 Ray Ave., a native of Capron and a retired,
20-year employee of the Smith-Douglas Co., died Thursday, September 19, in his
home.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Annie M. Moyler of Washington, Mrs.
Lucille Crandall of Savannah, GA., Miss Marianne Turner of New York, Mrs.
Neaster Smith of San Diego CA., and Mrs. Ernell Turner Boddie of of Norfolk; 
two sons, Willie L. Turner and Joe L. Turner of Long Island, NY;  a sister, Mrs.
Romine Taylor of Courtland;  a brother, Sgt. Leslie Hudson of Fayetteville, NC;
 20 grandchildren;  and 12 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Saturday at 3 p.m. in Kingdom Hall on Brown Avenue by
Speaker M. Brinkley.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Metropolitan Funeral
Home in charge.
