Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, April 6, 1997 
Ida Mae Turner, 82, of 2800 Beachmont Ave., died April 3, 1997 at Sentara Leigh
Hospital.

Mrs. Turner, widow of Edward L. Turner Sr., was a member of First Baptist Church
of Norfolk, on Bute Street.

Survivors include four daughters, Audrey Patrick, of Baltimore, Md.; Deborah
Inman, of Atlanta, Sharon Foreman of Norfolk, and Carole Wadley of Virginia
Beach, eight sons, Edward Turner Jr. of Portsmouth, Benjamin Turner, Franklin
Turner, Theodore Turner and Linwood Turner of Norfolk, Larry Turner of New
Orleans, Colson Turner of West Hempstead, N.Y., and Vincent Turner of Las Vegas;
a sister, Helen Jackson of Norfolk; four brothers, Reginald Billups, Theodore
Billups, Edward Billups and Charlie Billups, all of Norfolk; 29 grandchildren,
15 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted Monday, April 7, at 1:30 p.m. at First
Baptist Church of Norfolk, 418 Bute St., by the Rev. Robert Murray. Burial will
be in Calvary Cemetery . Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
