Norfolk - James Turner of 1307 Carey Ave. died Friday, Dec. 30, in a Hampton
hospital.

A native of South Mills, NC, he was a son of Mattie and Walter Turner. He was a
plasterer and a member of Crestwood Baptist Church.

Besides his parents, survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Margaret E. Pearson of
Norfolk and Mrs. Dorothy Mae Mitchell of Wilson, NC; and a brother, Otis Turner
of Chesapeake.

A funeral was held Wednesday, Jan. 4, in Graves Funeral Chapel by the Rev. J. L.
Kearney. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
