The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark December 20, 1918
Mrs. Margaret Coleman Turney, widow of Peter Turney, founder of the Turney Home 
for Boys in Bank street, died at that institution last night.
Mrs. Turney was a well-known resident of Norfolk and like her late husband, had 
a warm spot for the homeless boys.
Mrs. Turney is survived by two sisters, Mrs. B.C. Newcomb, of Richmond, and 
Mrs. W.L. Simpson, of Norfolk; two brothers, A.T. Coleman of Baltimore and J.F. 
Coleman of Norfolk. Arrangements for the funeral will be announced later.
