He was a member of the United Company of the old Norfolk volunteer fire department. He had a large number of friends by whom he was highly esteemed. His vocation was that of a brick mason. He is survived by a widow and a son, J.E. Twiford of Norfolk. The funeral will be held at the apartments of Funeral Director H.D. Oliver, 610-612 Freemason Street at 3 o'clock this afternoon.
