The Virginian Pilot Saturday June 4, 1966
Johnnie Wade Twine Sr., 56, of 1212 Kempsville Road died Friday at 2:15 a.m. in 
a Norfolk hospital.
A native of Winfall, N.C., he was a son of John Edward and Mrs. Elizabeth White 
Twine and the husband of Sadie Bell Twine.
He was a retired Norfolk Naval Shipyard electrician.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Mills of 
Chesapeake; a son Johnnie Wade Twine Jr. of Chesapeake; two sisters, Mrs. B.E 
Saunders of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Mrs. Ivey Harris of Chesapeake; two 
brothers, Edward Twine of Chesapeake and J.C. Twine of Elizabeth City and three 
grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Graham Funeral Home by the 
Rev. Russell G. Flaxman of Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church. Burial will 
be in Magnolia Cemetery.
