A native of Norfolk, he was a son of William H. and Mrs. Lola Tyler and the husband of Mrs. Alice Harris Tyler. He was a member of St. John AME Church, and a barber at Tyler’s Barbershop 40 years. He was a Marine sergeant in World War II. His wife is his only survivor. Services were held in St. John AME Church by the Rev. A. R. Powell with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Riddick Funeral Service was in charge.
