Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, August 5, 2000 
Stanley Lee Tyler of the 1300 block of Kempsville Road died peacefully
Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2000, at Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital. He was a native of
Norfolk and the son of the late Mansie and Florence Christian Tyler. He was the
widower of Vivian Tyler.

He was retired from the Norfolk Naval Supply Center. He leaves to cherish his
memory a daughter, Barbara Tyler Briggs; three sons, Eugene Tyler, Stanley W.
Tyler and Douglas B. Tyler. He will also be sorely missed by nine grandchildren,
five great-grandchildren and a devoted niece, Hilda F. Tyler.

A funeral will be conducted Monday at noon in the chapel of Riddick Funeral
Service with the Rev. H. Caryle Church officiating. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery . Viewing will be Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home where the
family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. The funeral will assemble at the
home of Hilda Tyler, 3538 Bapaume Ave., Monday at 11:15 a.m.
