Norfolk Landmark December 16, 1902

The funeral of Mrs. Mary E. Tynan, widow of Mr. W.M. Tynan, who died at her 
home, 108 Chapel Street, early Sunday morning, will take place from St. Mary's 
Catholic Church today at 10 o'clock. Mrs. Tynan is survived by two daughters, 
Misses Mary and Annie Tynan and a son Mr. Patrick Tynan.

TYNAN - At the residence, No. 108 Chapel Street, on Sunday, December 14, 1902, 
at 3:30 o'clock a.m., MARY ELIZABETH TYNAN, widow of William Tynan, in the 60th 
year of her age.
Funeral services from St. Mary's Catholic Church THIS (Tuesday) MORNING, at 10 
o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend.

The obsequies of the late Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Tynan, relict of the late Mr. 
William Tynan, were held from St. Mary's Catholic church at 10 o’clock yesterday 
morning in the presence of a large congregation of friends of the deceased. 
Requiem mass was said by Rev. Father Doherty, pastor of the church. There was a 
profusion of handsome floral designs. The remains were 1aid to rest in St. 
Mary’s cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: Thomas Fitzgibbon, Patrick 
McGee, Patrick Hart, John R. Coleman, Patrick Sullivan, James McLynn, John 
Hargrove, and John A. Beachen.
